Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid which is a chain of sugar molecules. Sculptra causes the skin to create new collagen removing wrinkles and thickening skin. Sculptra is ideally used to build up cheeks and replacing lost volume in the skin to create a “liquid facelift” Sculptra is biodegradable and is broken down by the body into water.

Sculptra requires a series of four to five injections one month apart to achieve optimal results. Sculptra results occur gradually over time but last long as long as three years. There is no downtime. The results are seen gradually each month as the new collagen builds up. Sculptra costs $500 for 2½ cc’s each treatment or $1000 for 5 cc’s each treatment. Most patients require 3-4 treatments one month apart.
